I’m Liz, a creative from South East London. I have extensive experience working in branding and design, and during my 20+ years in the business, I’ve provided creative direction on a wide variety of projects including advertising campaigns, film and video, website redesigns, apps, crowdfunding campaigns, direct mail, photoshoots, large scale events and festivals, invitations, magazines, books, products, podcasts, branded content, digital products and collaborated with artists on commercial products.
Previously, I set up and ran the in-house design studio for the charity Art Fund for over 11 years, where I was responsible for creative leadership of the brand and mentoring a team of designers. Prior to this, I spent 10 years working on art magazines in a variety of roles - picture researcher, writer and production editor. Other hats I’ve worn include working in the press office at Tate during the launch of Tate Modern, supervising film crews on location, curator, photographer, artist book publisher, and having a book of my photographs published by the commercial publisher Rizzoli. My books and photography are in the collections of Tate, V&A and other private collections in the UK and overseas. I have also been a mentor for students on the MA design courses at the University of the Arts London and still conduct portfolio reviews for students on other design courses at the college.
Alongside this, I run a ceramics business from my garden studio, making hand-built porcelain homeware. If you’re interested take a look at my work here or on Instagram @liz_workman_
